What Grabby Collects
Grabby captures clipboard text that is copied while the app is running. This data is stored exclusively in a sandboxed container on your Mac, managed by macOS's app sandbox. No clipboard content ever leaves your device unless you explicitly enable iCloud Sync (Pro).
iCloud Sync (Pro)
If you choose to enable iCloud Sync, your clipboard history is synced via your personal iCloud account using Apple's CloudKit framework. This sync is end-to-end encrypted and uses Apple's infrastructure — no Grabby servers are involved at any point. We have no access to your synced data.
What We Don't Collect
Grabby collects nothing about you. There are zero analytics, no telemetry, no crash reports, no usage statistics, and no advertising identifiers. The app makes no network requests whatsoever — except for the optional iCloud sync described above, which goes directly to Apple's servers, not ours.
Excluded Apps
You can exclude specific applications from clipboard capture at any time via Grabby's Settings. When an app is excluded, Grabby will not record any clipboard activity originating from that app. This is useful for password managers, banking apps, or any other application whose data you prefer not to keep in history.
Data Storage
All clipboard data is stored locally within macOS's sandboxed container assigned to Grabby. This means other apps cannot access it. You can clear your entire clipboard history at any time from within the app. Deleting the app also permanently removes all stored data.
Third Parties
Grabby contains no third-party SDKs, no tracking pixels, no analytics libraries, and no advertising frameworks. We do not share, sell, or transfer your data to any third party under any circumstances.
Children's Privacy
Grabby is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect any personal information from children. Since Grabby collects no personal data from any user, this applies equally to all age groups.
Changes to This Policy
If we ever update this privacy policy, the revised version will be posted on this page with an updated date. We encourage you to review this page periodically. Continued use of Grabby after any changes constitutes your acceptance of the updated policy.
